Advocate for women’s equality, child welfare, prison reform and public education. The first woman to serve as the majority leader of the Monroe County (New York) legislature, 1976. Associate professor of political science at the University of Rochester. Introduced courses on “Women and Law” and “Women and Politics.” Co-founder of University of Rochester’s Susan B. Anthony Center (SBAC). Organized “Pasadena 2020,” a float in the Rose Parade celebrating the 100thanniversary of the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote.
