THE VFA PIONEER HISTORIES PROJECT

Sally Pillsbury

October 17, 1924 – February 4, 2018

“She bridged political differences. She bridged gender differences. She bridged generational differences. And because of her, the world is a better place for women.”  –Sarah Stoesz, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota

A political and philanthropic force in Minnesota for decades. Active with Planned Parenthood for many years and serving on the board. Dedicated much of her life to helping women candidates from both parties run for office. Served as a leader for the Republican Majority for Choice and sat on the University of Minnesota Hospitals Board of Governors.
