Ronnie Gilbert

September 7, 1926 – June 6, 2015

“Somewhere along the line, I was developing a feminist consciousness not exactly against my will. It was certainly not against my will, but in spite of myself.”

Folk singer, songwriter, actor and political activist. One of the original members of the music quartet the Weavers, with Pete Seeger, Lee Hays and Fred Hellerman.
