December 16, 1927 – June 12, 2020

“The nuns taught me patience; I taught them how to wear lipstick.”

Author, Educator. Published her debut novel at age 90. In 1971 was the host of television show, The Liberated Woman, that included interviews, panel discussions and news reports from the women’s liberation front. Wrote a weekly column called The Liberated Woman for Pioneer Press publications and taught an adult education course called The Becoming Woman. In 1972, hosted A Woman’s Place, with guest Gloria Steinem for the premiere program focusing on the changing role of women in the modern world.
