Merle Hoffman

“Bringing Courage, Vision and Mission-Driven Services to the Battle for Women’s Rights.”

A leader in the struggle for women’s rights. Social psychologist, author, speaker, publisher, producer, director, political organizer and pioneer in the delivery of women’s health services. Founder and CEO of the Choices Women’s Medical Center, one of the first legal abortion centers in the county, founded in 1971, two years before Roe v. Wade. Co-founder and first President of the first national professional organization of abortion providers, the National Abortion Federation (NAF) and founder of the New York Pro-Choice Coalition.
