Mary Lou Burg

February 10, 1930 – May 16, 1983

“If we had more women in politics, we wouldn’t have war.” – Mary Lou Burg, 1970

Elected Democratic National Committee woman from Wisconsin in 1968. Appointed vice chairman of the Democratic National Committee in 1970. Named deputy chairman of the National Party in 1972. President Jimmy Carter chose her as a member of the Copyright Tribunal in 1977.
