Co-founder of ShoreBank Corporation, the nation’s first certified community development financial institution, in Chicago, 1973. Women’s Rights Committee of the Hyde Park-Kenwood Community Conference. Co-founder of the Sojourner Truth Child Care Center, an initiative to provide child care in Chicago’s Hyde Park community.
