Educational supervisor, trainer, consultant, speaker, author, athlete. Middle school social studies teacher. Workshop leader for teacher/school administrators on sexual harassment in schools and gender equity issues in schools. Member of the Connecticut Education Association’s Women’s Caucus. National, State and Local Chapters of NOW. Chair of Connecticut NOW’s Education Task Force. Helped roll out Title IX to help schools/districts understand what they needed to do to comply with the law. Wrote a series of brochures covering 5 topics: Title IX for Parents, Choosing a Career, Providing Equal Opportunities for Students in Your Classroom, Mathematics and Science – Critical Subjects for Women and Men, Sexual Harassment in Schools. Served as Liaison between the Permanent Commission on the Status of Women and the CT State Department of Education
