Ginny Z. Berson
“I Feel Like My Whole Life Has Been Spent In Pursuit of Justice.”
As part of the D.C. women’s liberation movement, Ginny was active in Women Against Imperialism and Women Against Racism. A founding member of The Furies collective and newspaper, she wrote frequently about lesbian-feminism and class issues for feminists. Founding member of Olivia Records in 1973. First paid director of women’s programming at KPFA in Berkeley. As senior producer of live national programming for Pacifica Radio, she produced and/or hosted the live national broadcast of several pro-choice rallies in Washington, D.C. Active in the peace movement in late 1960s and early 1970s, Berson has a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College (1967).
