She drew from her life in her causes – women’s rights; the rights of those discriminated against.
Registered Nurse, professional registered parliamentarian, past president of the Louisiana Association of Parliamentarians and founder of the Baton Rouge unit. President of the League of Women Voters in Wausau, WI. President of the League of Women Voters in Baton Rouge, LA. Worked to elect Joe Delpit, the first African-American to serve on the city council. Joined NOW, the ERA Coalition and AAUW. Served on the LWV and AAUW state boards. Counseled at the Battered Women’s Program and served on the board.
