August 9, 1936 – March 8, 2023

“We’re still playing catch-up on research in the field of women and AIDS. The epidemic is getting out of hand in women, and one of the reasons is that we were late in paying attention.”

Author, Activist, Educator. Journalist for Life Magazine. A delegate from New York to the National Women’s Conference, 1977. A co-founder of the East End Gay Organization (EEGO) on Long Island. An HIV/AIDS educator/trainer and sexuality lecturer at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, on women with AIDS and lesbian healthcare, 1989–1999.
