“In 1967, I sat down in front of the television to watch a talk show. The guest, Betty Furness, spoke of a new organization determined to pursue a novel idea – equal pay for women. It was like an epiphany. I sent in my name, got the information and became an early member of NOW.” – Karen Decrow, former president of the National Organization for Women
