Dr. Bernadine Newsom Denning

1930 – January 11, 2011

Educator, civil rights leader and advocate for women.  National VP and honorary life member of the national board of the YWCA.  Michigan Women’s Commission.  Appointed by President Jimmy Carter, Director of the Office of Revenue Sharing, Dept. of the Treasury. National vice-president and chairperson for the YWCA Convention. National vice president for the National Council of Negro Women.  National project chairperson of Delta Sigma Theta.
