Anne Coffin Hanson, Ph.D.

December 12, 1921 – September 3, 2004

Art historian, professor, author and curator. First woman director of the International Studies Center at the Museum of Modern Art. First woman president of the College Art Association, a professional organization of 7000 Art historians and professors. The first woman to be hired as a full tenured professor at Yale.
