Anna Langford

“I always wanted to be a lawyer.”
Attorney, Founding member of Operation Breadbasket, later named Operation PUSH. Executive board of League of Black Women. First African-American woman elected to the Chicago City Council. Langford was known for her commitment to the fight for civil rights, including those for the LGBT community.
