Democratic political veteran. Served as the White House Director of Communications for President Bill Clinton, 1997-2000. Senior Advisor to the campaigns of Hillary Rodham Clinton for Senate in 2000 and 2006, and for President in 2008. Co-chair of Jewish Women for Hillary, 2016. The first female Political Director of the Democratic National Committee, 1981-1985. Vice President for Public Policy of Planned Parenthood, 1994-1995. Former Chief of Staff to Congresswoman Barbara Mikulski. Co-chair of the Democratic Majority for Israel. Founding member of the National Women’s Political Caucus.
