Alida Walsh

May 15, 1933 – December 24, 2006

Visual artist working in sculpture, film and multi-media. A member of Women Artists in Revolution. Best-known sculptures are Earth, Mother, Goddess and Walking Nude Mirror. Exhibited in the first all-women art exhibit titled X-12 in New York City, 1969. Co-founded Women Artist Filmmakers, 1973. One of the founding members of Women/Artist/Filmmakers, Inc. Assistant professor at Montclair State University. Taught at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School in New York City.
